We do not know how many more years we will be standing Saphiro at stud and we want to encourage breeders to consider Saphiro for their mares while he is still available for fresh cooled semen shipments. Saphiro’s stud fees have remained the same for years… Until now!

Breeding Overview Mare Approval Back to Saphiro

Saphiro has a 2 tiered fee schedule. To understand which contract and applicable fee to use we define the above terms as follows:
“Purebred”: Andalusian OR Lusitano”: APSL, ABPSL, IALHA “P”, or other applicable registry for Lusitanos, PRE, IALHA “S”, IALHA “S/P” or other applicable registry for Andalusians
“Outcross”: Any other breed including registered half Andalusian mares. This fee is applicable to mares who’s foals sired by Saphiro will be eligible for registration as half Andalusians with IALHA (All of Saphiro’s offspring are eligible for registry with IALHA in the purebred or half-bred stud books).

$500 booking fee is included in the above stud fees. Fresh Cooled semen breedings include live foal guarantee – see the breeding contract for details. Additional discounts are available for booking multiple mares and for returning clients. All available discounts CAN be combined for the greatest savings. Discount deadlines are not extended to be fair to those that make the effort to meet them.

We accept Paypal with a 4% (5% Canada) charge to cover our fees. Stud fees are in US dollars. Currency conversion is approximate and is based on the Open Exchange Rates project. Actual conversion values are subject to change, and may be affected by individual transaction surcharges and other factors.

Fresh cooled semen availability

Saphiro is being boarded at Hyperion Stud during his defined season. Frozen semen is also available for mares wising to breed outside of Saphiro’s breeding season, Canadian mare owners or breeders who prefer to use frozen semen for other reasons.

Fresh Cooled Fees

All collection and shipping fees are paid directly to Hyperion Stud. Credit card forms and semen request forms will be provided with returned contracts so that mare owners can setup their account and billing directly with Hyperion Stud. US shipments AVERAGE approximately $300 +/- for collection and shipping by fedex overnight in the United States.

Mare Approval

Mares must be approved before a breeding contract is signed. We do this to ensure that Saphiro will be a good match for the mare, and to maintain a high standard of offspring that enhances the value of all his foals. Please complete the Mare Approval Form to have your mare approved.

For Our International Clients

Mare owners in Canada wishing to breed with frozen semen may use our domestic fresh contract which has provisions for frozen semen use. Please note, these are NOT the fees for International frozen semen in Europe and Australia.

We can ship frozen semen to mare owners across the United States and Canada. Our domestic frozen semen is stored and distributed by (Equine Reproduction Concepts, LLC)
