FullSizeRenderPalladium is a 2013 palomino gelding out of the friesian x Canadian Warmblood mare Caterina. Here’s what Palladium’s owner Cara Peters has to say about him; “Palladium is absolutely amazing. I’ve had him for a year now, I found him when he was 4 months old and I just fell in love with him when I saw him. Now he is only several months away from being a 2 year old. He is just gorgeous and I am in love with everything about him. He is built so well and has such a amazing personality. He is fiery, hot, smart, intelligent, and oh so willing to please! He is a big boy, he measured 15.1 just before he was a year old, I haven’t measured him since. IMG_8540Palladium has so much hair I love it! His mane is now just starting to reach past his neck, his forelock is past his eyes (and super thick), and his tail is getting closer and closer to the ground. His hair is super fine but there is just tons of it, and random parts of it are curly. He is such a smart, sensible boy. Palladium is a quick learner. He is more shy to strange people and is cautious around them. But for me, he will do anything. He is so incredibly athletic. He once leapt a 4ft jump standard from a standstill and cleared it. Also when a gait was left open, he jumped the barbwire fence of my neighbor’s pasture and he didn’t even nick himself. PalladiumWhat I also love about him is he isn’t nippy, but he loves to give me kisses. His favorite thing is extending his little muzzle out for me to kiss it. He also isn’t a kicker, I can do whatever I want with his hind feet and he won’t even budge. He has always been a super light palomino, which is great to me because I love the cremello color but I’m not much of a fan of the pink skin with the blue eyes. Screen Shot 2013-10-15 at 4.28.53 PMSo I think Palladium is great because he is very similar to the color of a cremello with black skin and lovely dark eyes (but he has bright white eyelashes) And in the summer he gets some light dapples. His movement is just stunning. He is so playful and its always fun to look through pictures of Saphiro because my boy does so many of those same poses!
