Every year we donate at least one breeding to an organization or cause we want to support.
In 2014 we again donated a breeding to Saphiro to be auctioned off in the IALHA Stallion auction!
Saphiro
Overview
- Read and familiarize yourself with both the IALHA Auction terms as well as our contract (see below to download the winning bidder’s contract)
- The donated breeding is for use on a non-Andalusian / non-Lusitano breed of mare. The resulting foal will be eligible for registration with IALHA in the half-Andalusian stud book
- The donated breeding is to be used in the 2014 breeding season. There is a 7 day live foal guarantee with re-breed rights in 2015 (and 2016 with booking) if needed.
- The donated breeding is for fresh cooled semen use within Saphiro’s defined breeding season for mares in the continental US. US mare owners may use frozen semen instead of fresh semen if desired for the appropriate frozen dose fees (see contract)
- MARE OWNERS IN CANADA, ALASKA AND HAWAII MAY BID AND WILL USE FROZEN SEMEN (NOTE THAT APPLICABLE DOSE FEES FOR FROZEN SEMEN APPLY)
- Booking fee and service fee have been donated. Winning bid to be paid to IALHA in US funds. Mare owner to pay all collection, shipping and (if applicable) frozen semen dose fees
- The donated breeding is not for use outside of the USA and Canada
- The donated breeding is not for use on purebred A/L mares
- Mares must be approved for breeding in advance of bidding.
