JC Viva! moves up to preliminary at the Gayla Bluegrass CDE
Our homebred spanish mare, JC Viva! (Teonado x Ariana RL) started competing with Jenni in combined driving late last year. The Jenni/Viva combination won both events enetered last fall at training level (Ohio CDE and Katydid CDE). The winter was spent at home training hard to move up and that’s what we did this past weekend in Kentucky! Entered in the competitve Prelim single Horse division, Jenni and Viva were ranked first after dressage. They kept the lead after cones and headed into marathon Sunday with a 9 pt lead. Jenni’s coach Paul Maye of Maye show Ponies navigated for team Viva and we are incredibly grateful for his expertise, advice and invaluable support on this journey. Jenni and JC Viva! finished 2nd after marathon and are looking forward to their next preliminary start at the Elk Creek CDE June 2-3, 2012 in Fair Hill, Maryland.
Newest Arrival!
JC Andalusians welcomes Vinha do Vouga to our herd. Vinha is a coming 11 year old ABPSL inscribed Lusitano mare imported from Brazil in 2005. We plan to breed her to Saphiro this summer for a 2013 foal. Having bred exclusively Spanish horses for the last decade, this will be our first purebred Lusitano foal and we are very excited about adding Vinha to our program.
See more photos of Vinha do Vouga on her page here.
Our 2012 foals have arrived!

We had 3 healthy foals this spring, all by our 16.3h P.R.E. Andalusian Stallion El Espiritu (Gaucho III x Legitima V). First was JC Plumona (“Mona”) out of Plumon M8. We have been waiting years for a Plumon daughter (her first 2 fillies with us had sold in-utero before a 5 year string of colts). Next was JC Tiziano (“Wookie”) out of Distraida XVI, a stunning fun loving bouncing baby boy that takes sweetness to a new level. Last, but not least was JC Oro (“Marley”) out of Elena VII. Marley is owned and loved by Pati Pierucci, look for these 2 turning heads at dressage shows in a few years. We’re also pleased to announce the birth of a 4th foal, bred by us but purchased with his dam in-utero. JC Teonada sold in foal to Saphiro and just delivered a healthy buckskin colt for his proud new owner Carol Sadler in Texas.
